ROSE Floral Figural French Art Nouveau Antique Single Cut Diamond 18k Gold Ring

Wonderful French antique Art Nouveau figural rose ring with 3D petals folding open around a bezel set single cut diamond for sparkle. Wonderful figural gold work with lifelike detail. I'm heartbroken to part with it, but in the meantime I'll enjoy wearing it, starting at this weekend's homecoming football game of one of my nephews. I love the beautiful satin texture in the chiseled recesses of the flower details. Yummy! Nice quality and sturdy hand feel for size as the rose flower is solid gold with a closed back so it's a nice little floral nugget.
French hallmark for 18k gold.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
Antique box not included.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
It is a size 6 slightly over but does not reach 6 1/4. IT weighs a sturdy (for size) 4 grams.
The ring face is 14mm north to the south on the finger. And it stands 2.6mm thick / tall off the finger with the thicker goldwork of the carnation.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Note the petals are pointed and can be blunt to rub the hand against. This isn't a defect, just how it was made.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
